School Management Software acts as a communication tool. The school Kompanion aids in communication across all levels of the school ladder, between staff, senior staff, students and parents.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Set announcements for groups of users, and keep track of who has read what and when.

LETTERS

Mail merge letters for groups of students or individuals, with the ability to latch letters sent to them to each student's personal record. Remember, just because it's a letter, it doesn't mean that it needs to be printed out...students and parents can log in to the School Kompanion and view a list of all letters specific to them via the student portal.

EMAILS

Manage email campaigns and send out global HTML email newsletters, or simple email reminders to various groups of users on the system, delivered direct to their inboxes.

ACTIONS

The School Kompanion comes with its very own personal messaging system, which allows for users to set each other tasks via a handy and portable action toolbar. Users can then use these actions as a means of diarising what they need to do next or can pass actions from one staff member to the next.

Student Management

The student management module allows for you to keep a comprehensive and up-to-date view of every piece of information you could possibly need on every student - all at your fingertips.

Comprehensive student records

Each student record is broken down as an online filing cabinet: personal details, medical notes, enrolment history, previous school details, emergency details - capture everything you need on each student. What's more, you can store all references, medical notes, certificates, etc... for each student on their record for access even when you're out and about and need instant access.

Dialogue tracking and note taking

Record each and every dialogue you have had with parents and students that are worth recording, and always have an updated feed of all correspondence sent from the School Kompanion to the student as a future record. You can also record notes on students and open up dialogues with parents to view and communicate with teachers.

Waiting lists

Manage and maintain student waiting lists, where you can track the status of each applicant's progress in your school's queue. You can even allow for students to enrol online for them to fall neatly into your waiting list queue!

Current, waiting list and those that have left

Seamless flagging between current students, those on the waiting list and those who have left the school mean that you can flip from one status to the next with no lost data or repetition of records.

Attendance Tracking

The attendance tracking module revolutionises the way you take your daily attendance registers with a real time, quick and efficient registration process.

Quick and easy

We've refined the registration process over years and years of practical experience, so the registration process is painfree and easy to update. Staff can update attendance for subject based or period based sessions, with quick entry features to allow for multiple updates all at once.

Access from anywhere

Our web-interface means you can update the attendance for your class wherever you are, be it in assembly, the classroom, or out and away from your laptop via your smartphone or a mobile device.

Real time reporting

Administrative staff can get hold of accurate, real time lists of absentees and latecomers, and parents from home can do the same as soon as the staff member has updated their attendance.

Auto calculation

No more calculating attendance records, get access to auto calculated percentages based on the entire school, individual year groups, subjects and even students based on present, lates, authorised and unauthorised absences across different date regions and even across multiple years.

Pull in all the information you want to

Each time a staff member looks to update a progress report, they will get access to all relevant information about a student on one screen, including attendance histories, assessment results, behavioural records, etc...

Access and update from anywhere

Staff no longer need to wait on dependencies preventing them from updating reports for a certain student because the other teacher hasn't finished yet. Instead, staff can access their reports from wherever they may be, and can update individual student reports independently of other staff.

Document libraries are a great way to host and refine your school's entire curriculum library, non-curriculum documentation and general storage.

Learning from home

Storing all of your lesson libraries online means that students can get access to their homework from home, and there's no more chances of pieces of loose paper getting lost on the way home. Students are automatically alerted via email when new resources are uploaded to their lessons, and they can download the materials right from the comfort of their own homes.

Grow your school's library

As you add more and more to the document libraries, your school's personal curriculum library will continue to grow, meaning you can continue functioning efficiently even if staff are absent and you're not sure which lesson documents you need - it will all be at available at the click of a mouse. History teacher going to be absent? Now worries, they can log on from home and upload the lesson documents for the supply teacher to pick up where they left off!

The fees management module provides a comprehensive invoicing and tracking system for each and every student in your school.

Individualised payment plans

Set and track individual students on personal payment plans per academic year, or group together students in families or other categories to vary the way in which you manage payments. Additional fees items, like P.E. kits, school trips, book fees, all of these things can be added to individual students' payment plans to provide comprehensive invoicing and statements.

Annual payments, termly payments, or standing orders

You choose how you want to track payments, through setting up annual payments, termly payments, or standing orders, and have automatic reminders flagged appropriately.

Detailed reporting and batch processing

Pull up reports whenever required or at set intervals to show payment streams monthly, termly or annually, with the ability to email and print out multiple invoices and statements at the click of a button.

Allow parents to pay online

With our integrated payment solutions, you can open up the option for parents to pay online from wherever they may be (please note this option is available on request due to the nature of different payment gateways available).

Library Management

Our library management module allows you to manage your personal school library, with the ability to loan out books and even host reviews.

Loan management

Keep active tabs on which books are currently on loan, with an active stock count keeping track of what is available for students to borrow. Set due dates with automatic late charges which are linked with the fees module.

Track reading histories

Track the books individual students have been reading, with reading lists compiled for their reference.

Rate books

Students get the option to rate books they have read on a star basis, so that you can begin to get feedback on what books are popular with your students.

Staff

Maintain an active list of who can access your system at any time, with the ability to modify access rights quickly and easily.

Multiple staff, multiple access rights

Administrators, teaching staff, teaching assistants, accountants, governors, all different categories of staff are allocated unique access rights that allow them access to only what you specify.

CRB management

Everyone knows how much of a nightmare it is when it comes to managing CRBs for individual staff. With the staff module you can upload CRB certificates and set expiry dates against them to alert you when they are due to expire, so you're never left un-reminded again!

Behaviour

The Behaviour Kompanion manages all positive and negative incidents (merits and demerits, or rewards and sanctions) for each and every student in the school.

Incident tracking

Record incidents where you can outline the initiator, details of the incident and a full account of what occurred against certain criteria, e.g. bullying. You can assign severities against each incident, and even begin to add more and more students to a single incident as you gather more information on it. As time goes on, the incident can begin to form a complete story, with witnesses, others involved, notes and actions taken. You can even set detentions via the system, of which details are automatically emailed and posted to the parents and the invigilator from the school.

Reward tracking

Record rewards in much the same way as an incident, with the differences being around the types of rewards a student can receive. All of the rewards add towards any house the student is assigned to.

Merit points

Each time a student is involved in an incident or a reward, it tallies against their personal merit balance, so at any given time you can view where a student's overall balance is.

House points

Create houses to which you can allocate students, and all merits go towards their respective houses. Of course, you can choose to print off regular house lists or just keep them available online for when the students log in to see how well their house is doing.

Integration into your progress reports

As with any section of the School Kompanion, you can choose to add details of merits and demerits into the student's personal progress reports when we tailor them for you.
